New for 2013! The Marmot Pulsar 2P backpacking tent is an ideal choice for ultralight backpackers looking for a high-performance shelter with unique features, and it weighs in at less than 3 pounds!
The unique pole configuration of the Pulsar 2P provides 28 square feet of interior space and 37 inches of interior height for maximum livability. Strong and supportive, DAC NSL, dual diameter poles are extremely lightweight. Marmot’s reverse foot design pulls the ends of this tent closer to the poles and opens up the interior for more leg room. A 7.9 square foot vestibule provides the Pulsar 2P with additional exterior space for stowing gear and muddy boots. Mesh fabric used on the tent body provides excellent ventilation for combating condensation build up and keeping you cool during warm weather. Vents built into the rain fly help to improve air flow and ventilation in warm or wet weather.
The Pulsar 2P uses color-coded clip construction that eliminates the hassle of feeding poles through cumbersome tent sleeves. Pole tips and the rain fly attachment points are color-coded and easily connect to the tent body for a secure and easy setup. A catenary cut floor keeps the edges of the tent away from the wet ground and a fully taped floor and fly offer complete weather protection. Reflective guyout points let you secure the Pulsar 2P in windy situations and find your tent in the dark.
An optional footprint (sold separately) further protects the Marmot Pulsar 2P against ground water, roots and rocks. For those backpackers who want to further reduce packed weight, the rain fly of the Pulsar 2P can be used with just the footprint and poles to serve as a minimalist, even lighter weight, shelter.
