Boasting an incredibly light packed weight and a compact stuffed size, the Marmot Pounder 40 Degree sleeping bag comes as close as you can get to down performance in a synthetic bag. High-performance synthetic fill offers thermal efficiency in damp conditions and wet climates that would render a down bag useless. The Pounder 40 Degree is an excellent choice for summer backpacking, especially when moisture is a concern.

The Pounder 40 Degree is insulated with Primaloft SB synthetic fill. The compression and recovery provided by Primaloft SB is second only to down and superior to most other synthetic fills on the market. Unlike down fill, this breathable, fast-drying insulation is water-resistant and provides warmth even when wet. This is particularly important if you'll be backpacking or camping in wet weather or humid climates.

Despite its lightweight construction, the Pounder 40 Degree makes no sacrifice with regards to performance and features. Marmot's A-Flex Lite construction employs canted overlapping baffles that efficiently eliminate cold spots and retain heat while maintaining the soft, comfortable loft of the PrimaLoft SB fill. A contoured, ergonomic hood mirrors the design of Marmot's popular outerwear jackets, helps reduce heat loss and keeps your head warm and comfortable. An integrated hood muff snugly protects your face and keeps cold air from sneaking into the Pounder 40 Degree. A fully insulated draft tube sewn behind the zipper keeps cold air from reaching the inside of the sleeping bag and zipper guards help to avoid irritating and damaging snags. Marmot's patented Trapezoid Foot Box is wider at the toes and narrower at the heels, providing a more natural fit and improving warmth and comfort.

The Marmot Pounder 40 Degree is available in Regular (fits up to 6'0") and Long (fits up to 6' 6") lengths. A stuff sack and storage sack are included.
