Product Highlights

Weighing less than a pound and a half, the high-performance Marmot Plasma 30 Degree down sleeping bag offers mild weather backpacking versatility! Premium 900+ fill power goose down insulation and Flow Gate technology baffling create an extremely lightweight, compressible package for backcountry adventure.

The Plasma 30 Degree is insulated with certified 900+ fill power, European goose down. Fill power measures the loft or "fluffiness" of down insulation and Marmot goes to great lengths to guarantee the 900+ certification with a battery of in-house and external verifications. Renowned for their efficiency in retaining heat and compressible properties, down fibers have an incredibly soft, comfortable feel and, despite advances in synthetic materials, continue to provide the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation available. The one weakness of down insulation is that it loses much of its ability to maintain warmth when it gets wet.

Flow Gate construction is used in the Plasma 30 Degree sleeping bag to provide better thermal value and increased weight reduction. Strategically placed Flow Gate baffles eliminate lateral and vertical down shifting by using vertical chambers with Flow Gates to control the position and density of the down insulation. This technology also enables the user to manually shift the down to preferred locations, customizing the sleeping system to each individual. Wrap around foot box construction incorporates the Flow Gate design with Marmot's classic, trapezoidal shape for increased warmth and a comfortable fit.

Despite its lightweight construction, the Plasma 30 Degree makes no sacrifice with regards to performance and features. A contoured, ergonomic hood, insulated draft tube and insulated collar around the neck area seal out cold air and feel soft and comfortable against your skin. Two-way zippers sliders offer venting options and zipper guards help to avoid irritating and damaging snags.

The Marmot Plasma 30 Degree sleeping bag is available in Regular (fits up to 6'0") and Long (fits up to 6' 6") lengths. A stuff sack and storage sack are included.

Likes: Holy Crap this sleeping bag is comfortable. So far I've only used it for camping, but in around 35 F degree temperature, I had one of the best sleeps of my life.
I liked how the sleeping bag warmed up very quickly too, only took about 30 seconds to get to a comfortable temperature after first getting in.
I plan to take this bag backpacking and will definately appreciate the relatively small packing size.

    Dislikes: Nothing

Likes: Great summer bag for cool nights! Light weight, warm, packs down small. The material is really comfortable and seems to do a great job keeping moisture out of the fill. The zippers are smooth and haven't snagged. Marmot quality. Highly recommend!

    Dislikes: Nothing.

Likes: I used the bag for the first time this weekend. It is amazingly lightweight for a bag this warm. Temps dropped to 40ºF and I stayed comfortable without a base layer. The biggest surprise for me is how small this bag is when stuffed into the included stuff sack. It takes up little room in the pack. Bottom line: I'm very happy with this bag and received excellent service and quick shipping from Backcountry Edge. Highly Recommended.

Dislikes: Wish the larger storage sack wasn't the mesh type bag. I prefer the solid type like the one that came with my Western Mountaineering bag. The solid fabric type bag keeps dust out during storage.

Likes: This sleeping bag met all my expectations and more. It is so light and small. I pack this bag into a side compartment on my pack, since it is so small. My clothes go into a stuff sack and then go into the sleeping bag compartment.

I took this bag down to 25 degrees and i was still nice and warm. I am 5' 11" tall and i went with the more lengthy one due to i tend to wiggle around alittle. Plus it just gives you more room just incase.

There is a draft ring in the sleeping bag (which is awesome), so on windy nights i was not getting a draft down my bag.

Overall Very HAPPY With This Bag!

Dislikes: Price is high but it is for the BEST.

Likes: This is an amazing bag! It is very comfortable, warm and lightweight (less than 1-1/2 pounds!). Quality workmanship - I have not found one small feather that has leaked out yet. The first time out with this bag and the temps dropped into the low 30's - I was very comfortable throughout the night.

Dislikes: The price is a little steep, but with the excellent workmanship I consider this a bag for life.
