The Mavericks 40 Degree sleeping bag is insulated with Marmot's Spirafil High Loft synthetic insulation. A soft, brushed polyester lining in the chest and foot box of the Mavericks 40 offers comfort on mild nights.. A 1/3 length zipper on one side of the bag and a full length, two-way zipper on the other side allow easy venting and let users mate two bags together. The Mavericks 40 can also serve an over-bag when used with other sleeping bags, effectively increasing the temperature rating and offering additional protection to the exterior of the other bag.
A semi-rectangular cut makes the Mavericks 40 Degree roomier than restrictive mummy bags while granting greater thermal efficiency at less weight than true fully-rectangular sleeping bags.
