Product Highlights

Boasting lightweight, durable construction, a roomy floor plan and an abundance of mesh, the Marmot Limelight 4P is a value-priced 4-person tent. Marmot even throws in a gear loft and footprint at no additional cost! Designed for 3-season backpacking and camping, the Limelight 4P is ready to accompany you on your next backcountry adventure.

Intended to house up to four inhabitants, the Limelight 4P offers 53 square feet of interior space and dual doors provide easy access options. The rainfly's integrated vestibules provide weather-protected entryways and an additional 16 total square feet of covered storage space (8 square feet in each vestibule). Interior mesh pockets and a gear loft which clips into the ceiling are included with the Limelight 4P, serving as out-of-the-way storage options.

Four DAC Press-Fit aluminum poles provide the Limelight 4P with support. Integrated clips allow the body of the Limelight 4P to attach quickly, easily and securely to the poles. The freestanding design enables you to set up the tent and then move it around your chosen campsite to find the optimal rock-and-root-free position. Reflective highlights in the fabric of the Limelight 4P make it easy to spot when returning to camp after dark or in low-light conditions.

Mesh panels in the walls and ceilings of the Limelight 4P allow air to circulate and combat condensation. The weatherproof, catenary cut floor and full coverage rainfly combine to protect the interior of the Limelight 4P from the elements. Even in those instances when weather is uncooperative and leaves you stranded inside the Limelight 4P, an integrated window in the rainfly allows you to see outside.

A custom-fit footprint is included to further protect the floor of the Marmot Limelight 4P from sharp objects, mud and ground water. The Limelight 4P's design offers a bare bones set-up option. If you really want to travel light, leave the tent body at home and use the rainfly alone with the provided footprint for an even lighter tarp-style set-up.

The Marmot Limelight 4P is available in your choice of colors.

Colors available: Alpenglow, Hatch/Dark Cedar

Likes: This tent is lightweight enough for backpacking even with the included footprint and gear loft. Very easy setup - took less than 10 minutes by myself the first time I set it up.

Dislikes: As with most 4P tents, you can only fit 3 plus a little gear comfortably. Liked the Marmot Halo 4P better because it is bigger and seemingly sturdier.

Likes: You can definitely sleep four average size people in this tent, though it's going to be snug. During the hot months, it might be too warm with 4 inside. The vestibules are a good size for backpacks and boots. Overall, I really like this tent. Lightweight and packs compact for the size, easy to set up solo.

Dislikes: My only concern is that the floor and wall seem is right at ground level, so I wonder about water pooling and leaking in. Of course, site selection and prep can mitigate that, but sometimes we don't have great options, and heavy rains can create pools even with the best prep. But I haven't read about this being an issue with other users, so it probably isn't a problem.
