Product Highlights

The one weakness of down insulation is that it loses much of its ability to maintain warmth when it gets wet. Utilizing an innovative weather-resistant lamination, the Marmot Helium MemBrain 15 Degree sleeping bag offers exceptional down performance with built-in protection from moisture. This unique combination of lightweight construction, compressibility and weather protection makes the Helium MemBrain 15 Degree an excellent choice for 3-season backpacking, especially in damp climates.

The Helium MemBrain 15 Degree sleeping bag is insulated with certified 850+ fill goose down. Fill power measures the loft or "fluffiness" of down insulation and Marmot goes to great lengths to guarantee the 850+ certification with a battery of in-house and external verifications. Renowned for their efficiency in retaining heat and compressible properties, the feathers and fibers of down have an incredibly soft, comfortable feel and, despite advances in synthetic materials, continue to provide the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation available. Though down insulation does lose much of its ability to maintain warmth when it gets wet, the Helium MemBrain 15 Degree's breathable, waterproof MemBrain lamination protects the interior of the bag from moisture.

Despite its lightweight construction, the Helium MemBrain 15 Degree bag makes no sacrifice with regards to performance and features. Eliminating cold spots and providing comfort, sewn through baffles ensure that insulation is distributed evenly throughout the bag. Ground-level side seams create a barrier against cold air. A contoured, ergonomic hood mirrors the design of Marmot's popular outerwear jackets, helps reduce heat loss and keeps your head warm and comfortable. An insulated oversized draft tube sewn behind the full-length zipper keeps cold air from reaching the inside of the sleeping bag and zipper guards help to avoid irritating and damaging snags. Marmot's patented Trapezoid Foot Box is wider at the toes and narrower at the heels, providing a more natural fit and improving warmth and comfort.

The Marmot Helium MemBrain 15 Degree sleeping bag is available in Reg (fits up to 6' 0") and Long (fits up to 6' 6") lengths. A stuff sack and storage sack are included.

Likes: light weight and the zipper works!

Dislikes: the thread used in the seams is abrasive

Likes: AMAZINGLY light for what it does. Certainly good to 15 degrees, and breathes very well. You can sleep under the stars in this, and not worry about overheating if you decide to throw it over your head in the middle of the night. The membrain feature does a little better at repelling water than my standard Hydrogen bag (which does just fine), and the fabric feels softer on your skin, without that "plastic" feel of other bags.

Dislikes: Like all UL bags, I wish it were a little tougher just for my own peace of mind, but mine hasn't torn yet with regular use. Some down escapes now and then, but you see that on any other bag, too.

Likes: The quality of this sleeping bag is obvious from the minute you see it. Amazing loft and overall quality which comes with any Marmot bag. At such a low weight it still has a beefy zipper that you don't have to worry about busting. Overall a very nice product.

Dislikes: Nothing to dislike. Very pleased.
