Marmot's proprietary MemBrain Strata 2.5 layer fabric uses micro particles to increase durability and provide a dry touch instead of the clammy feeling provided by many waterproof shells. The micro-stitched, 100% seam-taped Essence Jacket will keep you dry even in a downpour.
Other features of the Essence Jacket include drop shoulder seams to eliminate chafing under shoulder straps, integrated cooling vents, water resistant zippers and a single chest pocket. An adjustable hood lets you fine tune the fit and a laminated, wire brim keeps rain out of your face. Asymmetrical cuffs with Velcro adjustments and a drawcord hem offer weather-tight protection.
