Product Highlights
New for 2009! With a focus on livability, the Marmot Crib 2P utilizes a unique pole design to maximize usable interior space. Roomy, sturdy and well-ventilated, the Crib 2P is an excellent option for 3-season camping and backpacking.
Dual mesh doors provide convenient access via either side of the Crib 2P. Innovative "hip joints" on the DAC NSL aluminum poles help to increase the verticality of the tent walls and make the most of the Crib 2P’s 37 square feet of floor space. Twin vestibules provide weather-protected entryways and add an additional 21 sq. ft. of covered storage space. An optional gear loft (sold separately) clips into the ceiling of the Crib 2P and serves as an out-of-the-way storage option.
Employing integrated, lightweight clips, the body of the Crib 2P attaches quickly and easily to the poles. Marmot’s "Stay Put Pole" system allows poles to snap securely into place at each corner of the Crib 2P’s floor. The freestanding design enables you to set up the tent and then move it around your chosen campsite to find the optimal rock-and-root-free position.
Extensive mesh on the tent body offers excellent ventilation and keeps condensation to a minimum. The weatherproof floor of the Crib 2P combines with the rainfly's ripstop nylon fabric and silicone/polyurethane coating to protect the interior of tent from precipitation. A non-stitched, welded window on the rainfly provides a clear view to the exterior of the tent.
A compatible, custom-fit footprint (sold separately) can be used to further protect the floor of the Marmot Crib 2P from sharp objects, mud and ground water. For those backpackers who want to further reduce packed weight, the rainfly of the Crib 2P can be used with just the footprint to serve as a minimalist, lightweight shelter.
