Product Highlights

Fully waterproof, breathable and durable enough for the trail, the Marmot Aegis Jacket is an excellent lightweight option for hikers and backpackers seeking reliable, light and compressible protection from wet or windy weather.

Offering fully-featured protection, the durable, lightweight Aegis Jacket keeps out rain and wind and offers maximum breathability. Marmot's Strata MemBrain lamination technology doesn't require a lining or 3-layer construction so the Aegis Jacket sheds water, breathes well and can be compressed into a very small package. This durable fabric takes the wear-and-tear of wearing a pack and offers drop shoulder seams to eliminate chafing. Long pit zips and two, mesh front pockets with water resistant zippers allow for increased ventilation. A 3-way adjustable hood lets you fine tune the fit when the weather gets nasty and rolls away into the collar when you don't need it.

Other features of the Aegis Jacket include a storm flap over the front zipper, a sleeve pocket with a water resistant zipper, DriClime lined Velcro adjustable cuffs, an elastic draw cord hem, and a DriClime lined chin guard and collar for comfort

Available in a variety of size and color options, the Marmot Aegis Jacket has a semi-fitted cut that layers well over light to medium weight fleece, sweaters or base layers.

Styles available: Large Slate Grey, Medium Black, Medium Slate Grey, XLarge Slate Grey

Marmot part numbers: 50110-1440-L, 50110-001-M, 50110-1440-M, 50110-1440-XL

Likes: Definitely keeps you dry. It is small enough that it can be packed away if needed.

Dislikes: Not much of a windbreaker, but it works well enough for most of my uses. The collar is a little stiff for my liking, but that is a compromise of stuffing the hood into the collar, so...

Likes: Jacket fits well & is light weight. Much less 'crinkly' than my Marmot Pricip jacket & I hope it breathes better. From wearing it around in the house, it seems like it will breathe better. I am 6' 190lbs & the large fits fine w/ room for a sweatshirt or fleece underneath.

Likes: Keeps me dry. I am 6'2" 230 lbs. and have room for layers underneath with the XXL.

Dislikes: Don't know about the durability yet. Time will tell
