The TFX Torso Fit back system found on the TFX Expedition 65+15 allows for easy adjustment and a customized, comfortable fit for hikers of varying shapes and sizes. Simply flip up the lumbar pad, loosen the buckle and adjust the torso length by extending or cinching the strap until the color-coded block that matches your torso measurement appears in the buckle. Re-fit the lumbar pad and off you go! Providing maximum balance, the Torso Motion system allows the waistbelt to react relative to your spine while the internal frame of the TFX Expedition 65+15 flexes and rotates with your torso. Enhancing comfort, high-performance foam on the inside of the lumbar pad responds to the natural curve of your lower back.

Twin lightweight aluminum stays equip the TFX Expedition 65+15 with rigid strength for heavy loads. Side compression straps enable you to cinch or expand the depth of the packbag, ensuring that contents remain in place regardless of how heavy a load you are carrying. An extendible spindrift collar expands the full capacity of the TFX Expedition 65+15 to 4882 cubic inches. Contoured padding on the backpanel, shoulder straps, lumbar panel and waistbelt provide comfort and further enhance your balance. Load-lifter straps and a sliding sternum strap conveniently adjust, allowing you to make micro adjustments while on the move. In addition, Lowe Alpine's trademarked Noggin Notch provides a contoured space for head movement, combating the stiff, sore neck often associated with a long day on the trail.

Catering to backpackers who appreciate convenient access to the contents of their packs, the TFX Expedition 65+15 has both top and front access. The front panel is zippered on both sides to allow nearly full access to the main compartment. A zippered divider between the TFX Expedition 65+15's main compartment and a separate front entry sleeping bag compartment allows for organization of wet and dry gear. When hauling longer items or in need of access between the two compartments, you can unzip the divider and convert the TFX Expedition 65+15 to a single, large compartment. A large elasticized front pocket offers an additional location for storing and organizing gear. The extendible lid with internal and external zippered pockets provides further storage and can be detached for use as a belt pack.

Numerous lash points, twin ice axe loops, a trekking pole attachment cord, an adjustable front bungee-cord attachment system, and an integrated elastic shoulder strap-mounted GPS holder add to the TFX Expedition 65+15's versatility in the backcountry. Two "fabric and stretch" pockets are designed for easy on-trail access to water bottles. A lined interior pocket and built-in tube exit make the TFX Expedition 65+15 hydration compatible. A removable rain cover tucked into a lower pocket on the side of the pack offers extra protection against the elements. Providing valuable assistance in emergency situations, the buckle on the sternum strap doubles as a whistle and an informative SOS panel is imprinted on the underside of the lid.
