The trail-tested Lowe Alpine TFX Cerro Torre 75:95 XL backpack has retained its durability and load-hauling capability but strategic retooling has reduced its overall weight considerably. Built for extended adventures, the TFX Cerro Torre 75:95 XL pack delivers 6000 cubic inches of storage capacity.
The TFX 10 back system found on the TFX Cerro Torre 75:95 XL provides a customized comfortable fit and broad range of adjustability (17"-24") for backpackers of varying torso lengths. Providing maximum balance, the Torso Motion frame system allows the hipbelt to react relative to your spine while the internal frame of the TFX Cerro Torre XL 75:95 flexes and rotates with your torso. Enhancing comfort, high-performance "rebound" foam on the inside of the lumbar pad responds to the natural curve of your lower back. Twin aluminum stays provide rigid strength for loads of up to 70 pounds. Load-lifter straps and a sliding sternum strap conveniently adjust, allowing you to make micro adjustments while on the move. In addition, Lowe Alpine's trademarked Noggin Notch provides a contoured space for head movement, combating the stiff, sore neck often associated with a long day on the trail.
Access points abound on the TFX Cerro Torre 75:95 XL. You can reach the spacious packbag through the top of the pack or through a U-shaped front zipper. An additional lower compartment with front entry is designed to stow sleeping bags. A zippered divider between the two main compartments allows for organization of wet and dry gear. When hauling longer items or in need of access between the two compartments, you can unzip the divider and convert the TFX Cerro Torre 75:95 XL to a single, large compartment. The extendible lid with internal and external zippered pockets provides further storage and can be detached entirely when not needed. An extendible spindrift collar expands the capacity of the TFX Cerro Torre 75:95 XL to its full 6000 cubic inches. A front elastic shove-it pocket keeps extra layers close at hand.
Ice axe loops, twin trekking pole attachment cords and ski slots add to the TFX Cerro Torre 75:95 XL's versatility in the backcountry. Side pockets are designed for easy on-trail access to water bottles and a lined internal pocket and an integrated drinking tube exit make the TFX Cerro Torre 75:95 XL hydration system (sold separately) compatible. A removable rain cover offers extra protection against the elements and stows efficiently into a dedicated pocket in the pack's lid. Providing valuable assistance in emergency situations, the buckle on the sternum strap doubles as a whistle and an informative SOS panel is imprinted on the underside of the lid.
