New for 2009! The Lowe Alpine Snowstorm 27 snowsports pack is equipped with an array of winter performance features. With a storage capacity of 1648 cubic inches, convenient access points and a versatile diagonal or side ski carry system, the Snowstorm 27 is ideal for hut-to-hut ski trips or a day in the backcountry. Multiple attachment points allow for carrying ice axes, a shovel or other winter tools.

The Snowstorm 27 employs a lightweight, padded backpanel and shoulder straps to provide a secure and comfortable fit. Load-lifter straps, a sternum strap with sliding adjustment and a padded hipbelt further enhance the fit of the Snowstorm 27 and ensure the stability of your load.

The bulk of the Snowstorm 27’s storage capacity lies in a large compartment with front panel access. Zippered access through the backpanel provides rear entry to the compartment and allows you to get to the contents of the pack without placing the shoulder straps and backpanel directly into the snow. An easily-accessed large front pocket is specifically designed to carry a shovel head, probes or other winter gear. A small hipbelt pocket provides another handy storage option. An SOS panel is imprinted on the interior of the Snowstorm 27 for emergency backcountry reference.

Attachment points and features abound on the Snowstorm 27, making it adaptable for backcountry versatility. In addition to the shovel pocket, there are helmet lash loops, a sturdy hipbelt gear loop, ice axe loops and both side and diagonal ski carry systems. The ski carry system can also be adjusted to accommodate snowboards. A lined interior pocket and built-in tube exit make the Snowstorm 27 hydration compatible. Lighter and tougher than plastic buckles, unique Lowe Alpine LoadLocker alloy buckles work in tandem with easy-grab zipper pulls to make the Snowstorm 27 glove and mitt-friendly.
