New for 2008! Built for high-performance dayhiking, the Lowe Alpine Crossvent ND 33+5 Women's pack is streamlined and full of features. An innovative, lightweight suspension system offers optimal fit, maximizes airflow and enables female hikers to carry loads of up to 33 pounds.

Lowe Alpine has done extensive research to develop their line of women's-only backpacks. Narrower, contoured harnesses and hiptbelts are constructed to better fit the female body. Discovering that men and women carry loads distributed in different ways, Lowe Alpine has designed the packbag of it's women's backpacks to provide greater capacity lower in the pack body, transferring weight from higher on the back.

The suspension system on the Crossvent ND 33+5 Women's pack employs four strategically placed padded panels separated by a mesh screen that offers load-hauling support and maximizes airflow. Further enhancing fit, the Lowe Alpine Torso Fit Centro system allows quick and easy adjustment for torso lengths ranging from 16-21 inches.

The standard capacity of the Crossvent ND 33+5 Women's pack is 1950 cubic inches, increasing with the use of an integrated volume expansion feature. Side compression straps keep the contents of the Crossvent ND 33+5 Women's pack balanced and secure. Entry to the packbag is gained through the top of the pack or via a large, zippered opening on the front of the pack that offers maximum access. A large front shove-it pocket and small zippered pocket provide additional stowing options.

Additional features found on the Crossvent ND 33+5 Women's pack include an ice axe/trekking pole attachment and a hide-away raincover. Safety features include an SOS panel imprinted on the underside of the lid and a sternum strap buckle that doubles as a whistle! Mesh side pockets keep water bottles at the ready. An internal sleeve and exit port make the Crossvent ND 33+5 Women's pack hydration compatible.
