Lowe Alpine's Pure Air Zone back cleverly uses a strong, lightweight aluminum frame to suspend the load away from your back, allowing air to move freely between the pack and your body while retaining stability. The adjustable Torso Fit Centro back system allows for easy adjustment and a customized, comfortable fit for hikers of all shapes and sizes. Soft, breathable fabrics in the back, belts and body shaped harness make the Beartooth Air 45 ride cooler and more comfortably.

Load-lifter straps, a sternum strap, and a padded waistbelt further enhance the fit of the Beartooth Air 45 and ensure the stability of your load, allowing convenient adjustment while on the trail. Side compression straps enable you to cinch or expand the depth of the packbag, ensuring that contents remain in place regardless of how heavy a load you are carrying.

A zippered divider between the Beartooth Air 45's top loading main compartment and front entry sleeping bag compartment allows for organization and separation of wet and dry gear. When hauling longer items or in need of access between the two compartments, you can unzip the divider and convert the Beartooth Air 45's packbag to a single, large compartment. Large external bellows side pockets are integrated into the pack body, creating a clean profile and offering organizational options. The lid with internal and external zippered pockets provides further storage.

An ice axe loop and trekking pole attachment add to the Beartooth Air 45's versatility in the backcountry. Two wand pockets are designed for easy on-trail access to water bottles. A lined interior pocket and built-in tube exit make the Beartooth Air 45 hydration compatible. A removable rain cover offers extra protection against the elements and tucks away into a designated pocket beneath the pack body.

Made of abrasion resistant, lightweight honeycomb ripstop technical nylon fabric and high performance polyester, the Beartooth Air 45 is available in True Red/Maple Red, Titanium/Slate Gray, and Lizard Green/Slate Gray color options.
