New for 2009! Equipped with four-season versatility, the Lowe Alpine Attack MX 42+10 mountaineering/snowsports pack includes special features for stand out winter performance! With an available volume of over 3100 cubic inches, the Attack MX 42+10 is ready-made for gear-heavy day trips or lightweight weekend summit assaults. The Attack MX 42+10 is outfitted with multiple attachment points for carrying ropes, skis, crampons, snowshoes, ice axes, shovels or other gear.

The Attack MX 42+10's adjustable Torso Fit Centro back system allows for easy adjustment and customized, comfortable fit for users of all shapes and sizes. The adjustable suspension accommodates torsos ranging from 16"-21" in length. A supportive, but flexible molded backpanel provides structural stability and acts as a cushion between your back and the pack body. Load-lifter straps, a sternum strap with sliding adjustment and a padded hipbelt further enhance the fit of the Attack MX 42+10 and ensure the stability of your load, allowing convenient adjustment while on the trail. The hipbelt can be removed entirely for ease of use when you are wearing a climbing harness.

The Attack MX 42+10 is comprised of a single main compartment with top entry. The lid of the pack is extendible and removable to allow for use of an integrated spindrift collar with drawstring closure. Internal and external zippered pockets on the lid provide further storage and organization. An SOS panel is stitched into the underside of the lid for emergency backcountry use. A large expandable front pocket is big enough to haul a shovel, probes or other winter tools.

Attachment points and features abound on the Attack MX 42+10, making it adaptable for backcountry versatility. There are gear loops on the hipbelt, haul points on the upper portion of the pack body and on the hipbelt, a removable rope compressor, ice axe and trekking pole loops and both diagonal and side ski carry systems! A lined interior pocket and built-in tube exit make the Attack MX 42+10 hydration compatible. Lighter and tougher than plastic buckles, unique Lowe Alpine LoadLocker alloy buckles work in tandem with easy-grab zipper pulls to make the Attack MX 42+10 glove and mitt-friendly.
