Product Highlights

Streamlined but full of features, the Lowe Alpine Airzone Centro 45+10 backpack offers lightweight performance for overnight adventures or short duration, ultra-light backpacking trips. An innovative suspension system maximizes airflow and enables the Airzone Centro 45+10 to carry loads of up to 33 pounds.

The Airzone Centro 45+10's back system consists of a vented shoulder harness that works in tandem with channeled padding on the lower portion of the back. This system offers support for load hauling while maximizing airflow by minimizing the contact areas against your back. Further enhancing fit, the Lowe Alpine Torso Fit Centro system allows quick and easy adjustment for torso lengths ranging from 16-21 inches. The patented Adaptive Fit hipbelt adjusts to the contours of your hips and lower back.

The standard capacity of the Airzone Centro 45+10 is 2700 cubic inches, increasing with the use of an integrated volume expansion feature. Side compression straps keep the contents of the Airzone Centro 45+10 balanced and secure. Top and side entry points offer easy access to the packbag. A large front pocket provides another place for storing gear.

Additional features found on the Airzone Centro 45+10 include an elastic front gear attachment system, an ice axe/trekking pole attachment and a hide-away raincover. Safety features include an SOS panel imprinted on the underside of the lid and a sternum strap buckle that doubles as a whistle! Mesh side pockets keep water bottles at the ready. An internal sleeve and exit port make the Airzone Centro 45+10 hydration compatible.

The Lowe Aline Airzone Centro 45+10 backpack is available in your choice of Terracotta/Slate Grey, Cobalt/Granite and Bark/Black color options.

Likes: This pack has a lot more bells and whistles than the Kelty Pawnee that I was comparing it to. I really like the pack access and gear attachment options. Bark/black color is kind of unique and not "loud" like some other companies pack color options. I thought the hip belt felt better than any other pack I've tried and really stayed out of the way. Airzone back minimizes contact with your back without curving the pack too much. Included rain cover is a great idea. 15-20 lb. load felt very stable. Can't wait to give it a better workout this fall.

Dislikes: Adjustable torso length is a great idea but takes a minute to figure out. When I cinched the upper part of the pack closer to my back I could feel a couple of pressure points (but nothing too uncomfortable). Straps on the bottom of the pack to attach a sleeping pad would be nice. Weight of the pack is a little on the heavy side.
