The LEKI Wanderfreund Special telescoping travel cane is designed to provide mobility support and increase balance for simple hikes and around-town touring. With a collapsed length of only 22.8 inches, the Wanderfreund is an ideal travel companion for journeys at home or abroad.
LEKI's Soft Rubber grip is comfortable and easy to use. This textured grip can be used in a traditional cane-style or, when the Wanderfreund Special is extended to its maximum 47.2 inches, as an actual walking staff.
LEKI's Super Lock System (SLS) takes advantage of wide thread patterns and steep-angled lock adjustments to provide greater security than is found on most telescoping canes. It also makes adjusting the length of the Wanderfreund Special quick and easy. Far less prone to loosening while in use, the SLS system gives you peace of mind even in challenging situations.
The Wanderfreund Special's carbide flex tip deflects up to 30 degrees without damaging the lower pole section. This reduces the risk of shaft breakage if the pole should get caught between rocks or tree roots on the trail. By attaching the press-fit rubber tip (included), you can use the Wanderfreund Special indoors or on improved walking surfaces.
