Product Highlights

For simple hikes and around-town touring, it's tough to beat the telescoping LEKI Wanderfreund Antishock travel cane. It's perfect for relaxing journeys, and is designed to provide increased balance and stability on gentle terrain.

LEKI's Soft Antishock System Lite (SASL) reduces stress on the joints, muscles and ligaments. Internal steel springs and elastomer create a smooth and unique suspension system that is quieter and reduces shock more effectively than other designs. LEKI embeds the spring in the shaft of the lower pole section, which keeps the spring cleaner, requiring less maintenance.

LEKI's rubberized Aergomed grip is lightweight, strong and comfortable. This textured grip can be used in a traditional cane-style or, when the Wanderfreund Antishock is extended to its maximum 47.2 inches, as an actual walking staff.

The Wanderfreund Antishock features LEKI's Super Lock System (SLS). Taking advantage of wide thread patterns and steep-angled lock adjustments, the SLS design allows for quick and easy adjustments and is up to 60 times more secure than other locking systems. Far less prone to loosening while in use, the SLS system gives you peace of mind even in challenging situations.

The carbide flex tip deflects up to 30 degrees without damaging the lower pole section. This reduces the risk of pole breakage if the pole should get caught between rocks or tree roots on the trail. The rubber tip attachment makes the Wanderfreund Antishock suitable not only for the trail, but also for improved walking surfaces and indoors.

As testament to the strength and longevity of LEKI's designs, the Wanderfreund Antishock includes a lifetime warranty for shaft breakage.

The LEKI Wanderfreund Antishock travel cane is sold individually.

Likes: I am using this walking staff to replace my cane(s). I especially like the ability to adjust the length to suit me perfectly, thus eliminating my tendency to "lean" and put my weight on the cane, which caused pain in my wrist and upper arm; it helps me to stand erect (no more leaning). With my canes, the adjustment would either be too high or too low. I also like the hand grip; it can be held in several different positions. Also, it is lighter in weight than a typical cane and the rubber tip can be removed and the permanent metal tip can be used when walking on "gravel" or ice. Another great purchase from Backcountry Edge.
