Tundra XS Antishock (Euro) trekking poles feature LEKI's Soft Antishock System Lite (SASL) that reduces stress on the joints, muscles and ligaments. The combination of internal steel spring and elastomer creates a smooth and unique suspension system that is quieter and reduces shock more effectively than other designs. LEKI places the SASL system closer to the point of impact by embedding it inside the shaft of the lower pole section, keeping the spring cleaner and requiring less maintenance.
Incorporating a 15-degree positive angle that preserves a natural position for your wrists, the dynamic, lightweight AERGON COR-TEC grips have an ovoid shape that can be palmed or held traditionally. The grip is made from 80% natural ground cork and 20% latex, making it strong and comfortable. A rubberized, dimpled top offers a textured grip point and easy-adjust straps reduce stress on your wrists and provide additional security and comfort.
The Tundra XS Antishock (Euro) poles employ carbide flex tips that deflect up to 30 degrees without damaging the lower pole sections. This reduces the risk of pole breakage if the pole should get caught between rocks or tree roots on the trail. Standard trekking baskets are included and are interchangeable with a simple screw on/off design that stays secure. Optional snowflake and deep powder baskets (sold separately) allow the poles to be converted for winter use.
