Got these for my girlfriend, but I'd have no problem using them. They looked kind of pink in the photos to us, but they are just a light gold in reality. Comfortable grips and the straps are nicer than my own 2007 Lekis.
Dislikes:
My girlfriend is about 5'9" and these poles are just fine for people her (our) height. But they don't extend as long as my Men's Leki poles do so significantly taller people might want to do some research to ensure these go long enough.

I used these Leki poles on a winter backpack trip. They enabled me to move sure footedly on uphill & downhill terrain,on muddy trails and through major puddles. The poles definitely increased my speed-certainly over 25% right off the bat with no prior practice; & even more on the return trip. The cork grips were well-sized for small hands and functioned well in pouring rain; & the straps were made of a soft weave that did not rub against or irritate the hands.
The poles locked securely in place on the first try; and collapsed to a convenient length for travel on public transit. I am glad I ignored the advice to get single length poles as that would have prevented effective use as tent pole
Dislikes:
The enclosed CD from Leki arrived intact but was more inspirational than instructive. As a new user of trekking poles I would have preferred specific advice about where/when to place the poles for maximum advantage without googling or taking a class. Secondly, although it was nice to get a women's specific ergonomic design, the maximum length (49") was about 3" too short to be used as-is as poles for my tarptent. I had to order somewhat makeshift extensions from the tarp vendor. They worked ok in low winds but it's just another piece of gear to lose.

Lightweight, ergonomic for smaller women, carbide tip very strong, good price (on sale!), easily detachable for cleaning
Dislikes:
Handle easily scratched/scuffed, companion CD cracked on arrival (probably due to poor shipping and/or storage)

I liked everything about this trekking pole. They were easy to adjust and very comfortable in your hands. Trekking poles makes the inclines much easier to handle and makes the hikes more enjoyable.
Dislikes:
Rubber tips are not included. Need to purchase seperately.
