Product Highlights

LEKI Cristallo Antishock trekking poles offer high-performance features at a budget-friendly price. Easy-to-use external locking mechanisms, integrated shock absorption and ergonomic grips equip the poles for varied terrain.

LEKI's AERGON Soft rubber grips offer a comfortable, confident handhold while incorporating an ovoid shape that can be palmed or held traditionally. Integrated straps further reduce stress on your wrists and provide additional security and comfort.

Cristallo Antishock trekking poles feature LEKI's Soft Antishock System (SAS) Lite that reduces stress on the joints, muscles and ligaments. The combination of internal steel spring and elastomer creates a smooth and unique suspension system that is quieter and reduces shock more effectively than other designs. LEKI places the SAS Lite system closer to the point of impact by embedding it inside the shaft of the lower pole section, keeping the spring cleaner and requiring less maintenance.

LEKI's Speed Lock system utilizes an integrated stainless steel pressure plate to provide a secure lock and keep pole sections from slipping. The fiberglass-reinforced mechanism resists stretching so it retains its locking ability after repeated use. Adjusting pole length on-the-fly has never been easier. NOTE: The lower pole sections utilize SLS internal locking mechanisms which allow the SAS Lite shock absorption system to function effectively.

Carbide flex tips deflect up to 30 degrees without damaging the lower pole sections. This reduces the risk of shaft breakage if the pole should get caught between rocks or tree roots on the trail. Standard trekking baskets are included and are interchangeable with a simple screw on/off design that stays secure. Optional snowflake and deep powder baskets (sold separately) allow the poles to be converted for winter use.

LEKI Cristallo trekking poles are sold in pairs.

Likes: Having gone two sets of Kelty poles which broke in a short time I decided to try Leki and am extremely pleased with this set which I use for major hikes in the White Mountain Forest in NH where I hike in the rugged alpine region. The snap lock at the upper half is perfect for steep terrain where I need to adjust often. The top of the poles fits nicely in the palm of the hand when I palm when descending very steep terrain. Also, the antishock is ideal for rocky alpine terrain above tree line to reduce vibration on very long hikes.

I love these poles and highly recommend. Also, the Backcountry Edge staff and service is outstanding. I recommend them to everyone I meet in the field.

    Dislikes: Nothing

Likes: Poles seem to be robust, a great help on the trail and saved me a few times when descending trails covered with fallen leaves. Grips and straps are comfortable and the straps are easily adjusted. I like the color scheme - not obnoxiously bright but have some neon highlights for visibility when laid aside for a moment. Shock absorbing for greater impacts but not too spongy-feeling.

Dislikes: Flick locks on upper section only - I wish they were on the lower section also as I prefer that style over the twist-locks.

Likes: Lightweight, love the combination of speedlocks and superlocks. Adjusted well to my boyfriend's 6'4" frame.

Dislikes: It's almost too easy to overextend the pole length if you are not careful.
