Corklite Antishock trekking poles feature LEKI's Soft Antishock Lite System (SLS) that reduces stress on the joints, muscles and ligaments. The combination of internal steel springs and elastomer creates a smooth and unique suspension system that is quieter and reduces shock more effectively than other designs. LEKI places the absorption system closer to the point of impact by embedding it inside the shafts of the lower pole sections, keeping the springs cleaner and requiring less maintenance.
Incorporating a 15-degree positive angle that preserves a natural position for your wrists, the dynamic, lightweight AERGON COR-TEC grips have an ovoid shape that can be palmed or held traditionally. The grips are made from 80% natural ground cork and 20% latex, making them strong and comfortable. Rubberized, dimpled tops offer textured grip points and ultra-lightweight, easy-to-adjust straps reduce stress on your wrists and provide additional security and comfort.
LEKI's Speed Lock system utilizes integrated stainless steel pressure plates to provide a secure lock and keep pole sections from slipping. The fiberglass-reinforced mechanism resists stretching so it retains its locking ability after repeated use. NOTE: The lowest shaft sections employ more traditional internal locking mechanisms that provide strong, secure closure without inhibiting the shock absorption.
Corklite Antishock poles employ carbide flex tips that deflect up to 30 degrees without damaging the lower pole sections. This reduces the risk of pole breakage if the pole should get caught between rocks or tree roots on the trail. Standard trekking baskets are included and are interchangeable with a simple screw on/off design that stays secure. Optional snowflake and deep powder baskets (sold separately) allow the poles to be converted for winter use.
Sold in pairs, LEKI Corklite Antishock trekking poles have a usable adjustability range of 27.2”-53.1”.
