New for 2009! With an incredibly innovative grip-imbedded release mechanism, Komperdell Snaplock Carbon poles provide true on-the-go adjustment. Unlike traditional telescoping poles, you never even need to let go of the grips! Carbon fiber shafts are slim, lightweight and strong.

Snaplock Carbon trekking poles feature Komperdell’s revolutionary Snaplock single-handed adjusting system. Simply loosen the snap at the grips with a single finger, allowing the pole sections to slide to the appropriate length (adjustable from 45.3"-57"). Push the Snaplock back into place and the length is securely fixed in place! You’ll never need to break stride again.

Because you do not need to remove gloves or tangle with temperamental internal locking mechanisms, Snaplock Carbon poles are a great option for snowshoeing or cold-weather backpacking. Vario winter baskets are included and you can increase the versatility of your poles by swapping the baskets for interchangeable summer or deep powder baskets (sold separately). The Tungsten/Carbide flex tips are designed to flex if the tip of the pole should ever get stuck, helping to protect the pole shafts from structural damage.
