For Komperdell Titanal trekking poles, this is the expansion nut that installs on the threaded post at the top of the lower pole section and slides up into the center pole section.

Komperdell Titanal poles have a center section that is 14mm in diameter and a lower section that is 12mm in diameter. This part will not fit standard Komperdell poles which have a center section that is 16mm in diameter and a lower section that is 14mm in diameter.
