A larger member of
the Kelty Ascender Series travel system, the Ascender Trunk can be coupled with
the Ascender 22 bag and chassis (sold separately) or used on its own as a
durable 4760 cubic inch checked bag for easy airline travel.
Kelty has been a leader in the backpacking equipment industry for more than 50 years. In 1952, Dick Kelty began building backpacks for his friends in the Sierra Club. His ideas of using hipbelts and lightweight aluminum frames allowed Kelty and his friends to carry heavy loads longer, farther and with less pain for a happier wilderness experience. Today, Kelty continues to innovate.
