Numerous pockets and attachment points enable the Varanger to haul anything you might need for hunting, fishing or backcountry photography.

Twin, lightweight aluminum stays lend firm support to the Varanger, helping to stabilize the load. Padded adjustable shoulder straps, a sternum strap and a padded waistbelt enhance the fit of the Varanger and ensure the stability of your load.

The large, top-loaded main compartment of the Varanger provides ample space for clothes, gear, or supplies. Overall capacity of the Varanger is a roomy 3400 cubic inches. A zipper on the Varanger's lid grants access to a sizeable map pocket. Large zippered side pockets offer further storage options. Side compression straps allow you to cinch down the Varanger, so that all of its contents remain in place while you're on the move. These straps also serve double duty as gear lash points. A small zippered pocket on the waistbelt offers yet another place to carry a compass, snack or valuables.

Features abound on the Varanger. A removable front panel becomes a seat pad. Integrated clips on the shoulder straps allow you to keep optics close at hand. An integrated hide-away gun or bow carry system frees up your hands for scrambling over demanding terrain. The Varanger’s waistbelt and top lid can both be removed and used in tandem as a fast-moving, functional lumbar pack. Lower side pockets are designed to carry water bottles and a lined pocket and dual exit ports make the Varanger hydration compatible. A pull-out blaze orange rain cover offers extra protection against the elements and increases your visibility to others in the backcountry.
