The Footprint works great with the Kelty Trail Dome 6 tent. I think it is worth the money to buy the footprint that goes with your tent. I always have had better luck with the correct footprint than using tarps under the tents. It hooks easily to the tent and will move with the tent before you stake it down.

the way the footprint clipped to the tent proper during set up.

that the footprint was as much as 6" in from the tent edge all the way around the tent. I am used to footprints that come to within two inches of the edge.
