Updated for 2010! A Kelty car-camping classic, the Trail Dome 6 tent delivers reliable 3-season performance at a budget-friendly price. The Trail Dome 6 offers easy set-up and room for 6, provides excellent ventilation and even allows you and your family to stargaze on clear nights.
Two DAC aluminum poles and two aluminum awning poles combine to give the Trail Dome 6 a sturdy frame. Color-coded clip construction makes it easy to identify which pole goes where and overhead sleeves increase the strength of the pitched Trail Dome 6. The freestanding design allows you to pitch the Trail Dome 6 and then move it around your campsite to find the optimum position, eliminating an uncomfortable night's sleep over an exposed root or rock. Stakes are included to secure the tent in place.
The Trail Dome 6 provides 100 square feet of interior space and 6 feet of overhead peak height. Internal storage pockets and gear loft loops provide places to stow gear and maximize available floor space. NOTE: Due to its awning-style rainfly, the Trail Dome 6 does not provide vestibule entries or external storage space.
A mesh ceiling combines with the awning-style rainfly to provide great airflow, preventing condensation build-up on the interior of the Trail Dome 6. The PU-coated polyester-taffeta rainfly keeps the interior of the tent dry and provides UV protection. Kelty's patented ArcEdge construction lifts the taped floor seams up off the ground, eliminating potential for leaks.
An optional footprint (sold separately) further protects the Kelty Trail Dome 6 against ground water, roots and rocks.
