New for 2009! The Kelty Shiro 4 camping tent is uniquely-designed to provide the versatility needed for varied trips and differing needs. Built to house 4, the Shiro 4 has three separate rooms, two of which can be removed, increasing the available "common" interior living space. Roomy and easy-to-pitch, the Shiro 4 is ideal for luxurious family and car camping.

Two sleeping rooms are separated by a large shared area, providing over 140 sq. ft. of overall interior space! Each of the sleeping rooms is large enough to house 2 sleepers and includes a fully zippered door for ease of use and privacy. The sleeping rooms clip easily and securely to the underside of the Shiro 4's cross poles and can be removed when a second sleeping space isn't needed or there's value in increasing the size of the common area. Though there isn't a true vestibule, the common area serves a similar purpose, providing a sheltered space to get out from the rain, shed wet layers and store gear before retiring to the sleeping rooms. It's also a great space for playing cards and sharing time together when the weather outside is uncooperative. Pockets sewn inside the tent serve as gear hideaways and increase the livability of the Shiro 4.

The Shiro 4's DAC aluminum poles offer sturdy support. Large exterior doors provide easy access to the common area from the front and back of the tent. These doors can remain completely open in balmy weather, providing maximum cross ventilation. Integrated attachment points allow you to connect a Kelty Carport or CarTarp (each sold separately) to the Shiro 4 for an even larger shelter.

The polyester-taffeta material on the rainfly provides excellent weather and UV protection and built in fly vents aid in airflow. Kelty's patented ArcEdge construction lifts the seal-taped floor seams up off the ground, eliminating potential for leaks.
