Product Highlights

Updated for 2009! The freestanding Kelty Shadehouse Medium shelter is large enough to cover a picnic table and tall enough to allow occupants to stand underneath it without stooping. Integrated toggle and loop attachment points allow for the use of Shadehouse Accessory Walls (sold separately) for increased privacy and protection from sun and rain.

The premium DAC steel/aluminum poles found on the Shadehouse Medium weigh less and are far stronger than the fiberglass poles found on bargain outlet shelters. The updated pole design gives the Shadehouse Medium additional strength and increased verticality in the walls improves livability. The polyester taffeta fabric won't stretch when it gets wet, so the Shadehouse Medium stays tight in all weather conditions.

The Kelty Shadehouse Medium covers an area of 9 ft. x 11 ft. (99 sq ft) and provides an interior peak height of 6’2".

Likes: Reliable under stress! Used with a set of sand anchors, this held up to high winds at the beach. Provided good shade until late in the day when the sun was low. Adding the optional wall panel resolves this.

Dislikes: Instruction sheet did not mention the 4 straps that were provided. Make these the same length in advance - then simply click in the front left, and pull in the front right and slip over the pole end. Repeat for the back, then do the two sides.
