Product Highlights

The Kelty Salida 4 three-season tent is an ideal choice for backpackers on a budget. The Salida 4 is easy to pitch and very well ventilated. For the price, the Salida 4 is tough to beat.

With a minimum weight of 6 pounds, 8 ounces and an interior volume of 54.4 square feet, the Salida 4 provides a respectable space to weight ratio. An 11 square foot vestibule provides the Salida 4 with additional exterior space for stowing gear and muddy boots. The combination of sidewall vents and mesh fabric used on the tent body provides excellent ventilation for combating condensation build-up and keeping you cool during warm weather. Internal storage pockets and gear-loft loops create out of the way space for stowing small items like a headlamp or trail maps.

The Kelty Salida 4 uses color coded clip construction that eliminates the hassle of feeding poles through cumbersome tent sleeves. Just slide the shock-corded pole sections together and attach the clips. The freestanding design of the Kelty Salida 4 allows you to pitch the tent and then move it around your campsite to find the optimum position, eliminating an uncomfortable night's sleep over an exposed root or rock.

Kelty's ArcEdge construction lifts taped, floor seams up off the ground, preventing water seepage around the floor and wall seams of the Salida 4.

An optional footprint (sold separately) further protects the Kelty Salida 4 against ground water, roots and rocks.

Likes: This is a great tent. No condensation even on a rain filled night. Good ventilation and air flow with the fly on. The price is right, especially in comparison to other ultralight tents.

Dislikes: Not as light as other (more costly) ultralight tents.

Likes: Super easy to set up, strong poles, lots of room for myself and two daughters with bags inside

Dislikes: I wish it had more windows, but it is a great tent overall

Likes: Relatively light for a 4 person tent, simple and easy set up, good price, seems to be durable construction.

Dislikes: 2 doors would have been nice but it is not a big deal.

Likes: I purchased this tent knowing that I wanted a tent to sleep two comfortably. Two people and gear fit great into this tent without feeling like sardines in a can. Four people would be a stretch.

Dislikes: There was condensation buildup inside but that also was expected. Overall a great tent for the price.
