Product Highlights

A trusted backcountry workhorse, the voluminous Kelty Red Cloud 110 internal frame backpack is an excellent balance of performance and affordability. Heavy-hauling load capability, convenient access points and an array of features combine to equip the Red Cloud 110 for extended backpacking trips.

Equipped with an adjustable CloudLock II suspension system, the Red Cloud 110 relies on twin lightweight aluminum stays, a horizontal anti-barreling stay and an HDPE framesheet for reliable support. This design provides stability and load-bearing strength while avoiding the unwieldy rigidity of external frame packs. The pack’s Dynamic AirFlow back panel allows warm air to escape so that you stay cooler while carrying weight. A contoured, dual-density waistbelt offers comfortable load support. Kelty's patented Scherer Cinch uses a pulley-like system to double the tightening force on the waistbelt, ensuring that the brunt of the pack's weight rests on your hips.

The Red Cloud 110's anatomically curved and padded shoulder straps can be quickly and easily adjusted to accommodate torso lengths ranging from 17.5" to 21". Load lifter straps relieve stress on your shoulders and an adjustable sternum strap positions the shoulder straps across the chest to prevent chafing under the arms and on the shoulders. Side compression straps secure the contents of the Red Cloud 110 for optimal balance and load distribution. An integrated spindrift collar and height-adjustable top lid allow you to carry even more gear and further aid in securing the Red Cloud 110's contents.

The top-loading Red Cloud 110 also incorporates an innovative design on the lowest portion of the packbag that provides wide access through the bottom of pack. This feature makes it much easier to get a sleeping bag, clothes or other gear in and out of the Red Cloud 110 than is often the case with the compartment access on comparably-sized packs. A zippered front panel offers additional quick access to your gear from the front of the pack. The lid of the Red Cloud 110 can be removed entirely for use as a lumbar pack. A large pocket located on the front panel provides internal organizational options.

Additional features include zippered side pockets, a daisy-chain attachment system, a carry handle, ice-axe loops and dual mesh water bottle pockets. A lined interior pocket and built-in tube exit make the Red Cloud 110 hydration compatible.

  • . Mount Pleasant TX

Likes: It is just like a big compression sack but huge!

    Dislikes: Nothing yet!

  • . Tuscaloosa AL

Likes: Pack is very comfortable in my opinion. The thing I liked the most about this pack is the small pockets on the waist belt. They are very easily accessible for small items without having to take the pack off. Also like the ability to put a hydration system in the pack also.

    Dislikes: Nothing at this time.

  • Joe T. Avoca PA

  • . Fresno CA

Likes: Awesome design, and a great pack all around! Great price too. I give this pack 4.5 stars.

Dislikes: In regards to durability, I would like to see better made zippers (they do tend to hang up easily) and better made clasps.

  • Justin V. Northport ME

Likes: This pack is exactly as I had pictured it would be! Maybe even better.. The fabric is tough and durable, and the pockets are much bigger than I thought they would be.. Can't tell the actual size much from just pictures and video. (Although, Backcountry Edge does have the most detailed picture and video library by far!) I only gave it 4 stars because I haven't taken it out backpacking/hiking yet, but I will come Spring. Cross country baby! Thanks BCE!

Dislikes: No complaints as of yet..

  • . Groveport OH
