Product Highlights

A simple lightweight solo tent for all seasons. The Quartz 1 comes with Kelty's patented FlyBoy anchoring system, which consists of a patch permanently affixed to the fly and a plastic clip that clamps the body, poles, and fly together into a single, unitized self-reinforcing structure (no more reaching up under the fly to attach velcro straps). Flyboy also accepts guylines to create a stronger and more stable structure.

Also features Kelty Webforce™. The "trusses" at each pole sleeve intersection guide the slightly pre-bent DAC Pressfit aluminum poles through the intersection, eliminating any independent movement of the poles, strengthening the structure. The "tendons" on the fly, which lock stakeout points to FlyBoys, prevent any stretch or movement under even the heaviest winds. The strong, long-lasting DAC poles have very tight tolerances that avoid gluing or crimping, both of which can result in failure or corrosion over time.

NOTE: To ensure stability and 4-season performance, the Quartz is designed to have a more taut pitch than standard 3-season tents. It is important that the user fully run the poles through the pole sleeves before attempting to erect the tent. Failure to do so can cause undue stress on the poles and the pole sleeves.

Also features Kelty's ArcEdge™ floor which lifts floor construction seams off the ground to prevent water leakage.

Likes: this tent is built so beautifully and strong! wow. the colors are fantastic and the integrity of the thoughtful design is obvious.

Dislikes: the second pole was very very hard to squeeze into place. almost a deal breaker for me. other than that the space inside was nice but a little tight for my taste

Likes: I really was happy with Kelty Quartz 1 tent. I used the day after it came and it was all and more I was hoping for. It snowed 22 inches and was very windy that nite. The vestabule with a window, all the built-in storage pockets, the way the fly ties directly into the tent body were all impressive. I can't wait for my feb. Catskill mtn trip.

Dislikes: Ther isn't much bad That I can see. Its heavy for a solo tent but it is a four season bomb shelter.
