Kelty's women's packs incorporate features designed specifically for female users. Anatomically designed, the angled shoulder straps accommodate a woman's curvature while the conical waistbelt offers finely tuned support and comfort over the hips.
The suspension system found on the Lakota 80 Women’s pack relies on a single lightweight LightBeam aluminum stay and a Dynamic AirFlow back panel that allows warm air to escape so that you stay cooler while carrying weight. A contoured, dual-density waistbelt offers comfortable load support. Kelty's patented Scherer Cinch uses a pulley-like system to double the tightening force on the waistbelt, ensuring that the brunt of the pack's weight rests on your hips.
The Lakota 80 Women's anatomically curved and padded shoulder straps accommodate torso lengths ranging from 14.5" to 18.5". Load lifter straps relieve stress on your shoulders and an adjustable sternum strap positions the shoulder straps across the chest to prevent chafing under the arms and on the shoulders. Side compression straps secure the contents of the Lakota 60 Women's pack for optimal balance and load distribution. An integrated spindrift collar and height-adjustable top lid allow you to carry even more gear and further aid in securing the contents of the Lakota 80 Women's pack.
The top-loading Lakota 80 Women’s pack also incorporates an innovative design on the lowest portion of the packbag that provides wide access through the bottom of pack. This feature makes it much easier to get a sleeping bag, clothes or other gear in and out of the Lakota 80 Women’s pack than is often the case with the compartment access on comparably-sized packs. An additional zipper offers quick access to your gear from the side of the pack.
Additional features include a large, zippered front pocket, a daisy-chain attachment system, a carry handle, an ice-axe loop and dual mesh water bottle pockets. A lined interior pocket and built-in tube exit make the Lakota 80 Women's pack hydration compatible (hydration system not included). A rain cover is included for weather protection.
