Product Highlights

The Kelty Gunnison 2.2 backpacking tent offers an excellent set of features at an affordable price. With 2 doors, 2 vestibules and internal storage features, the Gunnison 2.2 is a whole lot of tent for the money you'll spend.

Swivel-hubbed DAC Pressfit aluminum poles offer strength and stability to the Gunnison 2.2. Lightweight corner supports and Jake's Foot stakeouts help to eliminate pole rotation and increase overall strength considerably. Color coded clip construction makes the tent a cinch to set up. The freestanding design allows you to pitch the Gunnison 2.2 and then move it around your campsite to find the optimum position, eliminating an uncomfortable night's sleep over an exposed root or rock.

The Gunnison 2.2 provides 37 square feet of interior space and boasts 2 doors and 2 large vestibules. Offering 20 square feet of combined exterior storage space, the dual vestibules are perfect for stowing gear and muddy boots. The two doors provide each occupant of the Gunnison 2.2 with an individual entrance and exit, eliminating the need to climb over each other when nature calls in the middle of the night. Kelty includes a gear loft to maximize livability by allowing you to store clothes and gear overhead.

Sidewall vents, a mesh ceiling and fly vents provide great airflow, preventing condensation build-up on the interior of the Gunnison 2.2. A PU-coated polyester- rainfly provides excellent weather and UV protection. Welded rainfly windows provide a view of the outside. Kelty's patented ArcEdge construction lifts the floor seams up off the ground, eliminating potential for leaks.

An optional footprint (sold separately) further protects the Kelty Gunnison 2.2 against ground water, roots and rocks.

Likes: I decided to exchange this tent for a lighter one. However, from what I know of this tent, it's great for two people who can split the weight.

Dislikes: Too heavy for me to backpack alone.

Likes: I am 6' 2" and have plenty of room without touching the sides. 2 doors is a GREAT feature--no more having to climb over someone to get out.

Dislikes: The joined poles (x shaped vs. 2 individual poles) takes a bit of getting used to but it is not a big deal

Likes: Extremely easy to set up and break down. Perfect size for one person and plenty of gear, or 2 average size people.

Dislikes: No cons as of yet.

Likes: These are great tents with tons of space to sleep with two people and even more space when there is only one person inside. the compartments inside keep the tent tidy and you know where everything is. The rainfly keeps you super dry and the ventilation points also keep you dry. There is also tons of vestibule space for your pack and boots. The stakes provided WILL NOT bend. LOVE THIS TENT.

Dislikes: colors are a bit odd. does not include footprint but its ok because it doesn't really need one
