This tent is the deal!! I wanted a great tent that I knew I could be comfortable in, that was roomy, and that would stand up to the elements. The two pole set up is awesome and quick and the ventilation is amazing! I would recommend the Grand Mesa 6 to anyone looking for the perfect tent. I searched long and hard for a tent that would fit my needs and when I found it for almost half off at Backcountry Edge I knew it was meant to be. Also it was shipped two hours after I ordered it!!!
Love My Tent!!!

Kelty quality, Large spacious tent perfect for family camping and scout camp. Great ventillation on the rain fly (three vents). Tall tent yet easy to set up I am over 6" tall so reaching to pull the fly over the tent was not an issue.
Dislikes:
Whould be nice if there was attachments on the ceiling for a gear loft. Tent just has a flashlight loop.

This tent proved its worthiness in its first use. We were camping in the Adk mtns and the last night it rained hard nonstop for 7 hours. Absolutely no rain found its way into the tent. The tent is easy to set up, very stable, and roomy. The aluminum poles are a wide diameter, pre-shaped, and very easy to work with. Much better than a fiberglass pole, which I would avoid. The carry bag has plenty of room so it's easy to roll up the tent so it actually fits in the bag. This is a detail that often is missed by other tent makers. Five people can easily fit, but we had only 4 people and had ample room for extra junk in the tent with us.
Dislikes:
This tent is fantastic. I fould nothing to dislike.

I recently spent 8 nights in the BWCA. All four of us are over 6' tall and found that we were able to fit comfortably inside the tent. If we had 1 more person though, it would have been tight. I am 6'4" and was able to stand up fully inside. We were rained on pretty hard two nights and had very little water inside the tent. It is extremely easy to setup with a two pole construction and a simple rainfly which did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend this product.

Great tent for the money. Upgraded from a smaller tent to easily accommodate an air mattress and gear. Fairly light for its size, works great in many situtations. Fly gives full coverage which is good or bad depending on prefrence. I like that feature because it keeps 90%+ water off the actual tent. Simple set up with two poles manageable by one easy with two people.
Dislikes:
Not very many storage pockets
Door/windows have no solid coverage option only mesh screen

No gear loft (and nowhere to add/tie one on), only a couple small gear pockets, floor material seems thin

This tent is roomy (I bought it for us two adults in car camping), with steep sidewalls and taller than the spec sheet gives for it (I'm 6'3" tall and can stand up in the center with room to spare). The tent, full coverage fly and optional footprint are a snap to put up (one person) and the ventilation is excellent. Despite wet, windy Oregon coast weather, we and our gear stay completely dry. The area under the fly outside the tent is not very large but is a convenient and dry place for dirty shoes before entering the tent. Fit and finish are top notch. Backcountry Edge's service was also top-notch.
Dislikes:
The approximate 20 x 20 overall footprint (counting tie downs to stakes)might pose a problem in locating a sufficiently large flat area. It has not been a problem for us. I would not consider this a backpack tent but it's great for car camping.

I purchased this tent for motorcycle camping. My girlfriend wanted to have a tent that we could stand up in and has plenty of room. I required a tent that was durable, waterproof that has a fairly small pack size. We have yet to camp with this tent (going on a two-week trip this month), but we did set it up in the back yard. I was pleased with the ease of assembly - the two of us set it up in about 10 minutes. We left in in the back yard for several days and it withstood a very bad thunderstorm without leaking. It is light for a tent of its size and the pre-bent aluminum poles and the full-length canopy with a small vestuable are great features.
Dislikes:
I would have to say the only issue I have with this tent is that the canopy is a little too snug and I think it could use more venting/airflow for the hot summer months.
