New for 2009! The Kelty Foxhole 3 four-season tent offers high-performance at an affordable price. Providing 45 sq ft of interior space, the freestanding Foxhole 3 is built to withstand extreme conditions while maintaining a manageable packed size and weight.
Durable, lightweight DAC Featherlite NSL aluminum poles provide the Foxhole 3 with strength and stability while keeping packed weight to a minimum. A hubbed pole design increases strength and lends the Foxhole 3 freestanding structure. This proves especially helpful when you need to put up the tent in uncooperative weather. The tight pitch of the tent sheds snow and allows it to remain stable even in windy conditions.
Dual doors grant easy access to the 92" x 79" (45 sq ft) interior of the Foxhole 3 and twin vestibules provide an additional combined 14 sq ft of sheltered space for boots, packs and other gear. Mesh panels provide ventilation in fair conditions and can be covered with interior panels when temperatures plummet. Strategically-placed integrated vents in the rainfly allow airflow and reduce condensation build-up without allowing precipitation into the interior of the Foxhole 3.
Guaranteeing four-season functionality, the Foxhole 3’s floor and rainfly are made of 70D Fusion Welded polyester. A 3000mm PU coating on the floor provides additional weather protection. Fully taped seams further ensure that moisture remains outside. A welded clear window on the rainfly offers a weather-protected view of the outside world.
A compatible, custom-fit footprint (sold separately) can be used to further protect the Foxhole 3 tent from snow, mud, ground water and sharp objects like rocks, exposed roots and pine needles.
