Updated for 2010! A lightweight, streamlined option for on-the-go families, the Kelty FC 1.0 framed child carrier offers backcountry and around-town functionality at an affordable price. The FC 1.0 is suitable for children who can sit up by themselves.

Capable of comfortably carrying up to 50 pounds (including your child, the carrier itself and gear), the FC 1.0 employs a lightweight aluminum frame and padded mesh backpanel to provide support and stability. An auto-deploy kickstand maintains the FC 1.0's sleek profile while providing a safe, stable base each and every time you load and unload your child. The contoured, padded shoulder straps, mesh backpanel and single-layer waistbelt make the FC 1.0 comfortable to carry. An adjustable sternum strap further enhances fit and provides greater comfort.

The padded child seat and 5-point harness ensure your child's safety and help to effectively distribute weight and balance the FC 1.0 on your back. The height of the seat can be adjusted to account for the growth of your child. The Kelty FC Sun Hood (sold separately) can be used to provide your child with protection from glare and harmful UV rays.

A large, zippered front pocket with internal organizational features provides the FC 1.0 with a storage capacity of 950 cubic inches. Zippered pockets on the waistbelt provide another storage option for valuables. Sewn-in carry handles make the FC 1.0 easy to tote.
