The versatile Kelty Falcon 4000 is ideal for patrols that require high-or low-volume gear storage and organization. A supportive suspension system and convenient access points combine to make the Falcon 2850 a reliable performer.
The Falcon 4000’s adjustable suspension system caters to torsos ranging from 16"-21" in length. Twin aluminum stays work in tandem with an HDPE framesheet and Spacermesh backpanel to offer strength, stability and comfort. A two-layer padded waistbelt, quick-release shoulder straps, load-lifter straps and an adjustable sternum strap further enhance the fit of the Falcon 4000. Kelty's patented Scherer Cinch uses a pulley-like system to double the tightening force on the waistbelt, helping you keep more of the weight on your hips. Side compression straps and an integrated spindrift collar offer adjustability for varying loads.
Top-loading and front panel loading options provide optimal access to the Falcon 4000’s main packbag. An extra large, fleece-lined pocket accommodates optics, wrap-style sunglasses or goggles.
The top lid of the Falcon 4000 has zippered access to internal pockets. The lid can be removed and converted into a lumbar pack or a shoulder-strap pack organizer. When the lid is removed, a secondary low-profile hood is revealed to protect the interior of the packbag from the elements and convert the Falcon 4000 to a streamlined 2800 cubic inch pack. A rain/sand pack cover is also included for further protection. Twin exit ports and reservoir sleeves make the Falcon 4000 hydration system (sold separately) compatible.
