The shell of the Eclipse 30 Degree sleeping bag is made of durable polyester ripstop. Insulation is provided by Kelty CloudLoft synthetic fill. Unlike down fill, Kelty CloudLoft insulation provides warmth even when wet. This is particularly important if and when you are camping in wet climates or in foul weather. A polyester-cotton liner offers internal comfort.
Unlike mummy-shaped bags, the Eclipse 30 Degree's rectangular cut provides more room at the feet, hips and shoulders, allowing you to roll around easily. Side sleepers and thrashers will surely appreciate the extra wiggle room!
Two-layer offset quilt construction eliminates cold spots, keeping outside air from reaching the inside of the Eclipse 30 Degree bag. This type of quilt construction is durable and maintains its shape and structure after many uses. A zipper draft tube helps to further ensure that cold air remains outside. The full-length zipper enables the Eclipse 30 Degree to be unzipped for use as a blanket and also allows you to zip it together with a second bag (sold separately), creating a single double-wide bag.
Other features found on the Eclipse 30 Degree bag include a pillow pocket, an external storage pocket and internal liner loops.
The Kelty Eclipse 30 Degree sleeping bag is available in Short (fits up to 5'3") and Reg (up to 6'5") lengths. Each Eclipse 30 Degree bag includes an integrated storage sack.
