Updated for 2009! Borrowing the time-tested features, comfort and value of Kelty's ever-popular Red Cloud series, the Kelty Coyote 4750 offers excellent performance and convenient pack access in a more compact, streamlined design.

Equipped with an adjustable Cloudlock II suspension system, the Coyote 4750 relies on twin lightweight aluminum stays, a horizontal anti-barreling stay and an HDPE framesheet for reliable support. This design provides stability and load-bearing strength while avoiding the unwieldy rigidity of external frame packs. A contoured, dual-density waistbelt offers comfortable load support. Kelty's patented Scherer Cinch uses a pulley-like system to double the tightening force on the waistbelt, ensuring that the brunt of the pack's weight rests on your hips.

The Coyote 4750's anatomically curved and padded shoulder straps can be quickly and easily adjusted to accommodate torso lengths ranging from 16" to 22". Load lifter straps relieve stress on your shoulders and an adjustable sternum strap positions the shoulder straps across the chest to prevent chafing under the arms and on the shoulders. Side compression straps and an integrated spindrift collar help you to cinch and secure the contents of the Coyote 4750 for optimal balance and load distribution.

The pack body of the Coyote 4750 consists of a single, large top-loading compartment. A zippered front panel offers additional quick access to your gear from the front of the pack. The lid of the Coyote 4750 can be removed for use as a lumbar pack. A large pocket located on the front panel provides internal organizational options. Additional features include zippered side pockets, a zippered stash pocket, a daisy-chain attachment system and dual mesh water bottle pockets. A lined interior pocket and built-in tube exit make the Coyote 4750 hydration compatible.

The Kelty Coyote 4750 is available in your choice of Nite Sky or Russet color options.

Likes: I did a good deal of research before buying this pack. My son and I are new to backpacking and I wanted to make sure our first trip out wasn't a bust because of an uncomfortable pack. My research paid off, and Kelty didn't disappoint! Great design and fitting options. Solid quality. The top and front entry points make packing and accessing gear a breeze. The detachable lumbar pack for day hikes is a nice option, and works quite well. I am looking forward to many years of service from this pack.

Likes: lots of room.lifetime warranty.very comfortable.

Dislikes: just wish it had straps to hold sleeping pad on the outside.

Likes: This is an excellent pack. The front pocket access is really useful.

Dislikes: The only negative i can think of is that it doesn't have a separate tent compartment, which is not a big deal really for me.

Likes: Nice size and features. great for my sons who need the capacity of a larger pack but on their smaller frames.

Likes: Great pack for the money. Love the adjustable suspension. Would recommend to anyone as an entry level pack.

Dislikes: Hate the gear loops on the back. They are pointless.
