New for 2008! The freestanding Kelty Corrie 2 is a sturdy, streamlined 3-season, 2-person tent. Designed specifically for backpackers, the Corrie 2 utilizes a unique hub-pole design and extensive use of mesh on the tent body to keep trail weight under 4 pounds.

A hubbed DAC Featherlite NSL pole provides the Corrie 2 with a sturdy framework while a second small pole section increases overhead height at the door of the tent. Together these poles lend verticality to the walls of the Corrie 2 while maintaining an efficient trail weight. Clip construction makes it quick and easy to attach the tent body to the poles.

The Corrie 2 offers 27 sq. ft. of floor space and a vestibule over the single door offers an additional 11 sq. ft. of sheltered exterior space for stowing gear and muddy boots. Internal storage pockets serve as a stash location for the clothes and gear that would otherwise take up space on the floor of the tent. Extensive mesh on the tent body enhances airflow and this increased ventilation helps to keep you cool in warm weather and combats the build-up of condensation.

Kelty's ArcEdge construction lifts floor seams up off the ground, preventing water seepage around the floor and wall seams of the Corrie 2. Taped seams on the floor and the rainfly ensure that the Corrie 2 is protected from moisture and wet weather.

An optional footprint (sold separately) further protects the Kelty Corrie 2 against ground water, roots and rocks.
