The shell of the Big Dipper 30 Degree Junior sleeping bag is made from durable 50D polyester taffeta. Synthetic Kelty Cloud Loft insulation offers 3-season comfort. Unlike down fill, Kelty CloudLoft insulation provides warmth even when wet. This is particularly important if you'll be backpacking or camping in wet climates or in foul weather.
By reducing the space that your body heat needs to keep warm, the tapered mummy design makes the Big Dipper 30 Degree Junior sleeping bag more form-fitting and thermally efficient than rectangular bags. Two-layer offset quilt construction and an integrated draft tube sewn behind the zipper keeps cold air from reaching the inside of the sleeping bag. For child safety, the drawcord around the face has been replaced with elastic. A polyester taffeta liner along with a pillow pocket provides internal comfort.
The Big Dipper 30 Degree Junior sleeping bag has the ability to expand an additional 12" in the foot box allowing the bag to meet the needs of a growing backpacker.
Additional features of the Big Dipper 30 Degree Junior include an internal storage pocket and sleeping pad security loops to keep you from rolling off of your pad or mattress while you sleep.
