Product Highlights

Ideal for 3-season backpacking, the self-inflating Kelty Backpacker Pad features a tapered mummy-cut and a packed weight of just 1.5 pounds.

The self-inflating foam of the Backpacker Pad provides warmth, cushioned support and compressibility for ease of transport and storage. When the integrated valve is opened, the open-cell foam automatically begins to absorb air and expand. Once you've given the Backpacker Pad adequate time to inflate, you can expand it to its full 1" thickness by adding a few extra puffs of air or adjust the firmness by releasing air before fully closing the valve.

Measuring 72" x 20" x 1", the Kelty Backpacker Pad includes a stuff sack (packed size of 22" x 6") and a repair kit.

Likes: Used it for a 3 night trip across Catalina Island. It was a lifesaver!

Likes: The video I watched before purchasing this had a nice young lady saying a few puffs. Unroll the pad, open the valve, let it sit for a couple of minutes and then it only takes a few puffs to finish the inflation. I thought YEAH RIGHT. First time I used it, it took 10 deep breaths to make the pad "tight". NEXT night, I unrolled it, opened the valve and then got off on another task for a few minutes. When I came back it took 3 deep breaths to make the pad feel full. I guess it's just a matter of letting it work for a while. Enjoyed the pad. I used it to replace a foam pad and it made a world of difference. Several times I've been told how great the return policy is for BCE. I'll never find out

Dislikes: Nothing. It did exactly what I expected it to do.

Likes: Inflates on its own really well, is durable, and great price for the product.

Dislikes: Wish it was a little thicker but it gets the job done.

Likes: I've never owned a self inflating sleeping mat, I've only ever used military issued iso-mats. This thing is amazing. While laying on my side I couldnt feel the ground through the pad. It kept me warm and comfortable, as long as I stayed on the mat. It is light, and compresses down small.

Dislikes: Slip N Slide all night long! I think these things should have some kind of textured finish in order to prevent slippage between bag, and mat.

Likes: Very small, very light pad.

Dislikes: Takes awhile to self-inflate, but you can speed up the process by blowing some air into it.
