Product Highlights

Employing Jetboil's award-winning FluxRing technology, the Sol Aluminum cook system provides fast, efficient performance in a compact, lightweight design. The Sol Aluminum weighs in at just 10.5 ounces and delivers consistent heat down to 15 degrees Fahrenheit, boiling 16 ounces of water in just 2 minutes!

The Sol Aluminum's 0.8 Liter insulated cooking cup connects directly to the high performance burner through the use of Jetboil FluxRing technology, ensuring that less heat is lost during the cooking process. Durable hard-anodized aluminum construction guarantees efficient performance at minimal weight. A simple push-button electric igniter makes igniting the burner and operating the Sol Aluminum quick and easy.

A neoprene liner encases the FluxRing cooking cup, keeping food and beverages warm long after heating. A sip-through lid further helps insulate the contents of the cooking cup and prohibits spills. The protective plastic bottom of the cup can be removed for use as a small bowl or measuring device.

Compact and lightweight, the entire Sol Aluminum cooking system can be stowed inside the FluxRing cooking cup, reducing the entire system to dimensions of 4.1" x 6.5". You can customize and expand the use and functionality of your Sol Aluminum by adding additional FluxRing cups or any other Jetboil accessory (all sold separately).

NOTE: The Jetboil Sol Aluminum requires the use of a Jetpower Fuel canister (sold separately). Each Jetpower Fuel canister provides ample energy to boil 12 liters of water and, at only 3.5 oz., stows conveniently inside the nested Sol Aluminum cooking system.

Likes: I was introduced to this Jetboil on my backpacking trip last month by a fellow hiking partner and fell in love with it and had to buy one for myself. The convenience of this stove after a long day on the trail is unbeatable. Great product.

    Dislikes: Nothing.

  • . Allentown PA

Likes: Super easy to use. Packs up inside itself which offers great protection for the burner and fuel. Light.

    Dislikes: No dislikes.

Likes: I recently picked up the Jetboil Sol as another option to my MSR Dragonfly, which is a bit heavy and bulky for what I need. The Jetboil Sol packs down to a small package, is lightweight, boils water extremely fast, and is the most efficient backpacking stove I've come across (meaning I don't need to carry as much fuel). I'm very happy with my purchase.

Dislikes: Compared to my Dragonfly, it's not nearly as stable and doesn't accommodate larger pots/pans nearly as well. However, that's not what the stove is designed for. I find that between the two stoves, all of my back country needs can be met.

Likes: I jumped on the Jetboil train and am not looking back!

Boils water just as fast as it takes you to prepare your utensils for food; super quick. Perfect for coffee making and everything else. My priority was coffee then food, lol.

    light weight
    stores within the container
versatile by using tri-arm can use flat-top cooking pans etc
YES you can use MSR fuel cans and other fuel cans that have the same male tthreading as the JetBoil fuel. I used MSR bc BCE was out of stock on Jetboil fuel at the time and it worked just fine

    Dislikes: Cons:
flame vale was difficult to adjust bc the canister was boiling hot and the turn key needs some elbow grease/leverage

canister sleeve does not do a great job in insulating the heat. Some reviews show people using their hands to hold and sip away at the canister-WHAT! It stays piping hot for a while so have a glove/towel/fur around as a protective layer when handling the cup

Likes: Great value. Glad I did not spend the extra for the titanium model, this one is a little sturdier and doesn't weigh much more.

Dislikes: Fuel is tricky to find, advise buyers to ensure they have a local retailer that carries the canisters.

Likes: This stove is amazingly fast and easy for my 11 year old son to use on boy scout trips.

    Dislikes: Nothing - it's a jetboil.
