Product Highlights

GSI Outdoors has revolutionized backcountry cooking with its solution-based nesting cook sets. With the unveiling of the Halulite Minimalist, even the most finicky of ounce-counters no longer has to skimp on performance.

Weighing a mere 5 ounces, the Halulite Minimalist cook set includes everything needed for thru-hikers, fast-packing alpinists or bike tourers. The entire system nests into an integrated unit that measures just 4.2" x 4.2" x 4.6" and still leaves room to stow a lightweight backpacking stove and fuel canister (both sold separately).

Each GSI Outdoors Halulite Minimalist cook set includes a 0.6L hard-anodized aluminum pot/mug, a Sip-It lid, an insulated sleeve, a silicone pot gripper and a GSI Outdoors Telescoping Foon.

Likes: I use this more as a mess kit and it's just what I ordered.

Dislikes: The spoon broke the first time I used it but I quickly replaced it with a folding ti one which I was going to do anyway.

Likes: Great product for quick food preparation. Used it while camping / hiking for making a quick cup of coffee to using it for a small cook pot.

Dislikes: Found the retractable foon (Fork / Spoon) to be too weak in manufacturing... Use another product.

Likes: Great little cooking kit. Used it once so far with an MSR pocket rocket, did not disappoint. Rubber grip/pot holder, makes pouring the hot water out a little trickier but gets the job done. Great for one person.

Dislikes: Was not a fan of the folding spork, but it works okay.

Likes: this is an amazing piece of hardware. great as a cup or as a pot for cooking. I have used this on several trips up to 6 nights. This is the only piece of cookware needed. Very light and durable. Great for minimalist backpacking and no sacrifice of utility. I have a variety of very good hi-tech cookware but this is all I use anymore. Couldn't be better.

Dislikes: no cons. don't know how it could be improved.

Likes: Love this simple cookset. I usually take it with me for an overnight or all day hike. Great for making coffee/tea/hot cocoa or simply boiling water for a dehydrated meal. Fits my esbit or a small canister and stove.

Lid a bit hard to remove but this ensures there are no leaks while using sipper.

Dislikes: Would be nice if it had measuring marks on the cup.

    Dislikes: So far so good.
