Updated for 2008! Built to comfortably carry loads of up to 70 pounds, the Gregory Palisade 80 backpack achieves high-performance through a combination of sturdy materials, ample storage capacity and an innovative suspension system.

The Palisade 80 enables you to venture deep into the backcountry and spend several days getting and staying there. The standard capacity of the Palisade 80 exceeds 4500 cubic inches and increases with the use of an extendible integrated spindrift collar.

The Palisade 80 employs Gregory's innovative Response Custom Fit Suspension (CFS) System to provide optimal load-hauling capability. Dual, contoured aluminum stays are bolstered by a supportive cross stay, ensuring that weight remains effectively distributed and the pack maintains its structural integrity while on the trail. A padded, precurved waistbelt offers full adjustability for a custom fit. An integrated quick-release tab allows you to quickly and easily adjust between five waistbelt settings. A chimney-style ventilation channel between the padded, breathable back panel and the body of the pack allows air to circulate and reduces the sweat factor often associated with carrying heavy loads. Load-lifter straps and an adjustable sternum strap further enhance the fit of the Palisade 80 and ensure the stability of your load.

A lashed divider separates the top-entry main compartment of the Palisade 80 from a lower sleeping bag compartment, allowing for organization and separation of wet and dry gear. When hauling longer items or in need of access between the two compartments, you can unhook the divider and convert the Palisade 80 to a single, large compartment. The extendible lid of the Palisade 80 includes a weather-resistant zippered pocket for stowing gear and can be detached from the pack body to be used independently as a lumbar pack. A large front pocket with a weather-resistant zipper provides an additional place to store gear and a zippered entry inside the pocket allows front access to the main pack body.

The Palisade 80 offers a number of other features, , including a canted, hideaway water bottle holder, dual waistbelt pockets, trekking pole loops, multiple lash points, and side and lower panel compression straps. An integrated sleeve and exit port make the Palisade hydration compatible.

Available in your choice of Lost Coast Red or Trinidad Blue color options, the Gregory Palisade 80 comes in Small (4699 cu. in.), Medium (4973 cu. in.) and Large (5370 cu. in.) size options.
