New for 2009! Versatile and lightweight, the high-performance Gregory Maya Women’s pack caters to female adventure racers, mountain bikers and hikers alike. Despite weighing a mere 1 lb. 11 oz., the 1040 cubic inch Maya Women’s pack is sturdy enough to comfortably carry up to 20 pounds and endure the demands of outdoor adventure.

Acknowledging the different wants and needs of male and female hikers, Gregory incorporates contoured shoulder harnesses, narrower backpanels and precurved waistbelts into its series of female specific packs. These packs are designed and tested by women, ensuring that they perform up to the expectations of female adventurers.

Well aware of the problems that arise from ill-fitting backpacks, Gregory is committed to providing fit, comfort and load-carrying capability. This commitment is evident in the technology used in the Maya Women’s pack’s Bio-Sync Active Trail Suspension (ATS) system. The shoulder harness and waistbelt of the Maya Women’s pack are connected to the pack body by overlapping, flexible "tendons" that enable to pack to adjust to your body’s motion during high-aerobic activities. Breathable Aero- Mesh and foam padding provides cushioning and helps to keep you cool by wicking moisture. An integrated internal compression system offers on-the-go adjustability and an adjustable sternum strap enhances fit and stability.

Reflecting a design focus on superior convenience and performance, the numerous compartments on the Maya Women’s pack provide access to the item you need without forcing you to pull out all of the contents of your pack to find it. The zippered main compartment opens wide for maximum access. A large zippered front pocket and internal elastic pockets offer further storage and organizational options. An expandable pocket on the front of the Maya Women’s pack is large enough to accommodate a helmet, wet clothes or additional gear. Large side mesh pockets offer yet another place to stash gear or water bottles and a fleece-lined pocket is ideal for sunglasses, cell phones, MP3 players or other electronics. Zippered mesh pockets running almost the entire length of the waistbelt provide handy on-trail access to snacks, gear or valuables. The Maya Women’s pack has an integrated internal reservoir sleeve and zip-thru access on the backpanel that allows you to refill your hydration system (sold separately) without having to remove it from the pack body. Reflective highlights add a measure of nighttime visibility.
