Product Highlights
Having already garnered an Editor's Choice Award for ultra light weekend packs in 2005, the Gregory G Pack impressed Backpacker Magazine's editors enough to be selected as a return winner in 2006. Sporting technologically advanced stabilizer and suspension systems while weighing in at less than 3 lbs., the G Pack offers a combined fit and carrying capacity that is simply hard to beat. Built for ultra light day or weekend adventures, the medium-sized G Pack has a standard capacity of 2700 cubic inches. The available space of the G Pack increases with the use of an extendible integrated spindrift collar. Having spent numerous years and countless miles out on the trail, the designers at Gregory are well aware of the problems that arise from ill-fitting backpacks. Unwilling to compromise comfort or load-carrying capability, Gregory's commitment to providing the perfect fit is evident in the technology used in their harness and suspension systems. Far superior to less flexible designs, the G Pack's innovative lightweight, thermomolded Exo-Frame framesheet provides excellent stability and load support while retaining the flexibility to bend, twist and conform to the movement of your body. A sport shoulder harness and Gullwing waistbelt further enhance fit and aid in load transfer. The ventilated foam padding and integrated chimney construction of the backpanel provide cushioning and keep you cool on the trail by allowing air to circulate between your back and the body of the pack. The G Pack also employs Gregory's Wraptor Stabilizer system, an ingenious design that connects the shoulder straps to the lower portion of the pack body. A gentle tug on the stabilizer straps pulls the backpanel forward, hugging the pack securely to your back and hips, almost completely alleviating pack "bounce" whether you are hiking, running or climbing. You simply will not find a stabilizer design that provides a snugger fit than the Wraptor Stabilizer system. A sternum strap and load-lifter straps further enhance the fit of the G Pack and ensure the stability of your load, allowing convenient adjustment while on the trail. The single main top-access compartment of the G Pack has an extendible drawstring closure. A large mesh "bucket" pocket and two large side mesh pockets offer convenient storage for a helmet, wet clothes or additional gear. The G Pack's extendible lid includes an integrated stowaway pocket and can be detached when not needed. Large zippered mesh pockets on the waistbelt provide additional storage for snacks, gear or valuables. The G Pack also includes side compression straps, a daisy chain gear attachment, and dual ice axe loops and keepers. An integrated sleeve and exit port make the G Pack hydration compatible. Made of an incredibly lightweight, high tenacity silicone-coated G70 fabric with durable 210D nylon reinforcements, the G Pack is available in a Bamboo Green color. The G Pack is available in S, M or L size options.
