Acknowledging the different wants and needs of male and female hikers, Gregory incorporates contoured shoulder harnesses, narrower backpanels and precurved waistbelts into a series of female specific packs. These packs are designed and tested by women, ensuring that they perform up to the expectations of female adventurers.

The Deva 85 Women's pack enables female backpackers to venture deep into the backcountry and spend several days getting and staying there. The standard capacity of the Deva 85 Women's pack exceeds 4800 cubic inches and increases with the use of an extendible integrated spindrift collar.

The Deva 85 Women's pack employs Gregory's innovative Response Custom Fit Suspension (CFS) System to provide optimal load-hauling capability. Dual, contoured aluminum stays are bolstered by a supportive cross stay, ensuring that weight remains effectively distributed and the pack maintains its structural integrity while on the trail. A padded, precurved waistbelt offers full adjustability for a custom fit. An integrated quick-release tab allows you to quickly and easily adjust between five waistbelt settings. A chimney-style ventilation channel between the padded, breathable back panel and the body of the pack allows air to circulate and reduces the sweat factor often associated with carrying heavy loads. Load-lifter straps and an adjustable sternum strap further enhance the fit of the Deva 85 Women's pack and ensure the stability of your load.

Traditionally, pack body access is an issue in backpacks built to carry heavy loads and large amounts of gear. This is not the case with the Deva 85 Women's pack, as numerous pockets and points of entry provide quick access to the item you need without forcing you to pull out all of the contents of your pack to find it. Gregory has incorporated top, front and side access points, as well as a separate zippered entry to the lower sleeping bag compartment. A lashed divider separates this lower compartment from the top and front loading main compartment, allowing for organization and separation of wet and dry gear. When hauling longer items or in need of access between the two compartments, you can unhook the divider and convert the Deva 85 Women's pack to a single, large compartment. Large side pockets offer additional storage space and zippered mesh dividers in each pocket allow full access to the main pack body. The extendible lid of the Deva 85 Women's pack includes a pocket with a weather-resistant zipper for stowing gear and can be detached from the pack and can be used independently as a lumbar pack. An additional zippered front pocket with an internal mesh pocket provides yet another place to stow gear and clothes.

The Deva 85 Women's pack offers a number of other features, including a canted, hideaway water bottle holder, dual waistbelt pockets, trekking pole loops, multiple lash points, and side and lower panel compression straps. An integrated sleeve and exit port make the Whitney 95 hydration compatible.
